My dear gf had a dream to studying in Beijing for more than 2 years. Butyesterday whenthetime forhertomakelast decisionwe have a long long talk. If she persue her dream and enter to the Academy of Sciences of China and I study for my PhD in Harbin, we will endure 4-5 years of living apart. That will be a terrible thing to imagine : the PhD period will be very dull and the lover is not with each other. I will go mad. In the far-reaching talk , I express my worry and condsiderations andshe disembosom herself.
Beijing is a wonderful city with various of chances and you can broadenyour horizen when Harbin is slow - gaited city and with a lowerliving standard. But if both of us do not want to apart and can giveeach other appeasementin time then Harbin is better choice.
GFthinkthatshe can do much more things which she can't do or she have missed to do such as having academic excellence, helping her sister and taking parttime job etc. Some things therein mentoned make some sense but I thinkmajority of them must be illusions. Because she dont have any knowledge about the true experience in Beijing and much of the hopes can be archived in Harbin similarily.
At last , she burst into tears .I can understand this feeling completely. A beatiful dream which has existed in heart for long time collapse suddenly. Noboy can be numb. She require me to promise that I should take care of her if her can not find a job and marry her. What requirement of no avail. I 'm sure to take good care of her. She has gave up too much for me.
